MY STORY

I grew up on a farm in South Georgia outside the small town of Nashville in Berrien County. During High School I was very active in FFA where I learned many of the leadership skills I use today. I also was awarded the American FFA Degree which is the highest award offered by the National FFA Organization. At the age of 18 I joined the East Berrien Volunteer Fire Department where I am still Volunteer Firefighter and Training Coordinator. At 18 I also started my law enforcement career by working part time as a dispatcher/jailer with the Berrien County Sheriff's Office. I might add this was before Berrien County had a 911 system and most roads were not named and houses had rural route addresses. In order to get help to a person we had to get directions to their house. At the age of 19 I put myself through the police academy and finally became a Police Officer with the Nashville Police Department at the age of 21. In 2006 I got married which was followed by the birth of my beautiful daughter Kaylee in 2007 and my handsome son Kaden in 2008. In 2009 I left law enforcement and decided to go back to school. I had started college after high school at Abraham Agricultural College (ABAC) but left because I was having more fun at work and was getting paid to be there. This time around I went to Georgia Military College (GMC) Valdosta,Ga campus where I finished my Associates Degree in Criminal Justice that was started at ABAC and also obtained my Associates Degree in Business Administration. While attending GMC I was working on the family farm with my PaPa, my dad, and my brother Jason. In 2012 I started my sales career with Langdale Honda in Valdosta,GA as a car sales associate. I was doing pretty well but a friend of mine got me interested in insurance. In 2014 I left Langdale Honda and joined a company called Senior Life Insurance. I was there until my whole world turned upside down in 2016. On September 16, 2016 my brother Jason who was a crop duster pilot (the planes that spray crops) crashed and died in the crash. I once again returned to the family farm to help out. At the beginning of October I had to put down my yellow lab Maggie, that had been with me for 13 years, due to congestive heart failure. At the end of October my wife and I separated which led to a divorce in June of 2017. Then here comes 2018, I wanted to get back into insurance but could not find anything that felt right. That all changed at the end of May when I joined the Alliance. Not only did I find the fit for the career I wanted but also found a whole new family. You may wonder why I included what I did in this about me section, the things that God allowed me to go through have molded and shaped me into who I am and led me to the place that I'm at. I can not wait to see what God and the Alliance have in store for me and I hope you will join our family as well.
